Birthdays and More

You know, though I attended lots of birthdays in my life, I never really celebrated much of mine. There are many reasons to this.
1) I hate bothering other people
2) People are on holidays on my birthday
3) I don't really have friends that close
But, you know, attending, it is still merry and stuffs.

Alvin's birthday was held at Chevrons, just like Janice's birthday a few years back. Coincidentally, they are in a relationship now. I love singing, I love cake. I don't know what else to say.

And there was Jess's birthday too. There was a theme, very much unlike the previous one.
Can you believe it? I am still attending 21st birthday at the age of 25. Me and Denisssssssssssse got lost while going there. Sorry. Honestly, it was freaking boring. Went to crush hall 14 DnD after that too.

Hmmm, the last event is not a birthday. Rather, it is a visit to the Art-Science Museum. Museums are boring. I thought this might be different, but nope. No photography is allowed, I don't know the reason. The souvenirs were freaking overpriced. I did bought a Chocolate Frog in the end, and got the Minerva McGonagall card. Mandy got another card, which I cannot remember. She also bought the Every Flavor JellyBeans, and they taste real weird. Vomit, Phlegm, Worm? I ate the soap one, and gosh, it felt like bubbles can come out of my mouth at any time.
I asked them to take this photo to prove that we came here
Took a photo with  Jean Danker at Marina Square. Lucky and happy.
The chocolate frog
It didn't jump like in the story book, of course
The paperbag and card.
I kinda enjoy all the 3 events above, but really, fatigue prevents me from smiling that much. Sleep liao. See ya.

You Found Me

And I've been calling for years and years and years and years
And you never left me no messages
You never sent me no letters
You got some kind of nerve taking all I want

Sometimes, depressing songs just suit the mood.

When September Ends

I know September is coming to an end, when the paycheck came in. The days of me being independent instead of OJT is nearing. Frankly, I am totally not confident of running the job. I am kinda "sotong" when even doing simple things like paperwork. It got me a little dejected, get me thinking if I am suited for the job.

Meanwhile, I am thankful for the fact that, even though I am running on shifts, there are still people to go out with on weekends. If not, my life will just be work and staying at home.

A Notebook

Love, as though you have never been hurt.
Sing, as though no one can hear you.
Live, as though heaven is on earth.

Musical Movie

Watched 2 movies recently, which are both very musical, namely "Step Up Revolution" and "Rock of Ages". They are unlike all those superhero action movie that I have watched recently. (Yes, I have watched "The Amazing Spider-Man", "Dark Knight Rises", "The Avengers")

I have to say they were pretty nice. "Rock of Ages" leave me in awe of how Tom Cruise could actually sing, and reminisce some of the classic Rock & Roll songs. Tom Cruise totally nailed his role as Stacee Jaxx in the movie. The other cast are also nice singers. I especially love the song "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "Jukebox Hero/I Love Rock & Roll" mashup. Still, the plot isn't really good.

"Step Up Revolution" always leave me dumbfolded by their dance. Coincidentally, the last performance of at a port, which is like my workplace now. Haha. The movie give a very unique aspect on why people dance, which is giving the people that dance a voice (perhaps an inspiration from Happy Feet?), which I think is pretty nice. Sometimes, I wonder that if this flashmob stuff will occur in real life, where will the music come from?

I watched the second movie with the people from Insinyur, during the annual supperhop. 5 years in a row! Haha. But didn't stay throughout. Too tired already. Hahaha.

supperhop!

Anyway, that's about it. What I want to say, that is.

Cheers

Hard and Soft

Everyone has 2 sides to themselves, the soft side and the hard side.

The hard side is the one, where you are angry, agitated, perhaps spewing profanities at every single thing or human that antagonized you just a bit. Being somewhat of a devil, and making the kind of face where if someone film it, you will realize how angry you can actually look.

The soft side is the side, where you talk softly, make gentle actions, smile more. It is something without all the hardness, the way you treat someone you really love, and making the face where you will want your photographs to look like.

My workplace generally just requires the hard side, from my observation. It holds especially true for my section, being a workplace saturated with stress. It seems like I will be working here for pretty long. I am kinda afraid that if you are hard all the time, and without someone to be soft with, I will forget how to be soft.

Where will I be then?

Graduation from NTU

On the afternoon of the 31st of August, I have officially graduated from NTU. Unofficially, I have rotted for a period of 3 months since exams end. I know many of my friends started working already. So, me, no job and no girl, and nothing much to look forward to.

The day of the graduation also set the record of the most number of photos I have taken in school in a day.

The whole ceremony is pretty much monotonous. There is a few person that did something funny on the stage, like shouting to the crowd, waving, There was this Indian guy that was brave enough to wear shades and make a cool pose while taking picture with the Prof giving the holder.

It was almost miraculous I can graduate. It really seems like yesterday when I was just a freshman, still looking at the map and looking around, still being childish to the core, still have an antique brain that just needs to be unearthed from the soil called "the Army"

And now, I am moving to the next phase of life. The longest and most boring phase.

Night Shift

Just barely survived my 1st night shift.

Bad idea to take IPPT before night shift.

I passed my IPPT btw! =)
