February

In a blink of an eye, February has ended. It really seemed like a short month.

Wait. It REALLY is a short month. =(

Things are piling up and I have no time at all, and I dunno where all my time went.

Besides the conventional meeting of relatives and family on CNY, (and of cos, not to mention the red-packets and new year goodies), the other things that I can highlight is Chingay, Meeting with army friends, Chloe's friend, Meeting with Melody, Keane, JF and Chingay Dinner.

Unhappy stuffs include quizzes and lab report.

Chingay '2011
In spite of some unhappiness among main comm with the higher-ups, I think most of the people still have fun doing Chingay. Some stuffs pissed me off, 1st day was damn screwed, it's all over anyway, and good job people. Being second-overall-in charge is not as xiong as the overall on, but still very tiring. Haha.

This is the 3rd time I am doing Chingay, and by far the least enjoyable one.

Some pics.
chuern on Harley, damn cool
some of the performers

ending, nice! it is pretty funny the traditional KongMing lantern is banned in Singapore because of fire hazard, probably,
and this artificial lanterns, which is really big helium balloon with LED light wrapped with paper.
Stringent rules encourages creativity
Annual Lao Hei (aka waste food session)
huat huh! As usual, food
can't help but noticed Chloe's face here. food must be nice.....
the overall winner this year is the PAYM team. They don't really have a magnificent float,
but 2000 dancers probably made up for it.
love the dragon, very long and majestic.
On a closer look, it's not that nice though, the teeth look plastic, doesn't being the ferocity out.
I put this pic here because I kinda like this pic.
A high difficulty photoshoot done in Popeye after the event.
free tics to CityAlive!!!
Got to tell you CityAlive was boring. At least I got free drinks, haha. The foreign DJ, no offence, kinda sucked, especially the last one. PAYM and various other dancer were showing off their moves. I stood there, bedazzled.

Meeting up 163
To those that didn't known 163 SQN is my army squadron, hence the name. Met Guoping, Ray & Kim twice at the time near CNY and during CNY, for shopping and gathering. Also met JingFeng and Keane, together with Melody near the end of February.
me ray and kim! Ray is still tiptoeing, hahaha
Guoping and Kim
Crew Chief commented that Kim look like some China Singer now,
 Haha, round face flattened hair
We met twice during February, once was to eat and shop. We ate at Concorde hotel or somewhere near there. The Korean food at the food court is nice and healthy. Kim Dae Mun Korean Cuisine uses water instead of oil to cook their food, making it less sinful. We ended both meet-up with L4D2, barely surviving the zombie apocalypse.

JingFeng, Keane, Melody and me met up at JE for dinner. Long time never see any of them, except JF, who is taking the same elective me (The Chinese Lyrics Module). Ate at Aston JE, didn't know Aston is sold in hawker centre too.
me, kukumi, keane, jingfeng
slurps.
i look tired from the quizzes and lab report.
Aston Feast
Finish of the Friday night in an arcade throwing baskets. Keane was very good, partly because I kapok all the basketball from the other machine with my long hands! Hahaha.

Chloe's Birthday
Haven't been to a birthday party, that felt like a party for a long time. Went early to help out with the decoration. It was weirder than the other party I went to help out, which was Joyce's birthday.
pic explain all

main commers
most fun event of the night :P damn funny, I was eating halfway when Matthew suddenly grab her.
Hey dun look at me, I didn't throw cake, hahaha
sort of family tree?
guess if we did smash the cake on her in the end?
awww, wet.
group photo!!!
cap gang!
That's all for February.

What do I want from me?

Stars

I was walking to the bus stop from my tutee's home, I rose up my head, and saw many stars. Probably the rain had cleared up the clouds allowing stars to sparkle in the gloomy clear night sky.
When I was young,
I always wished upon a star,
I want to go home...I want to go home, I hate this place, someone save me.
Nothing came through until a few years later.
I was reminded of the countless time crying when I was young.

Maybe wishes only come through on a shooting star.

Chingay Day 2

Chingay day 2 was better, it begins with a drizzle, but it didn't escalate to a rain. The Promenade side was still muddy, but I am wearing an old shoe, and a comfortable one.

My leg is still bleeding throughout though.

Trying to spot myself on the TV, LOL.

Holiday(2) Phuket

It's really been awhile since I boarded a plane. The last time was.... I went to China, Yunnan, when I was Sec 1, I think. This time I am off to Phuket with my EID pals. You know, being with friends and family has completely different feel. When I went to Yunnan, is more like see mountain, see sand, more like SIGHTseeing. This time I am off, it's the free and easy kind, not with a tour guide. It should originally be a Batam trip... but this and this, and that and that, we went to Phuket instead.

Day1
1st day was checking in the hotel and exploring the shopping mall over there. A great advice to all of you, is not to go there, however tempting it is! The things there are expensive, about the same price as Singapore malls. But there are fast-food there and stuffs you will find in a typical local shopping mall. Went to watch the Simon Show, the transvestite show at night.
ultra early flight 730am. I am the only one who really looked a tourist, I guess.
In the plane!!
2 person were feeling ill on the plane.
greeted with a poster. So the only hot here isn't only the weather.
name of the 3-star hotel
our room, hotel rooms always makes me feel like sleeping. And always guaranteed a good sleep.
another hotel scenery
satisfying thai massage at night.
exploring at night.
forgot the name of this roadside dish, but it's really nice:)
SIMON SHOW.. was raining that night
the only really satisfying dish I had in a stall near the SIMON show's venue.
readying for the show...psychologically
I took pics with them. Only wanted to take with one...
in the end he called his friends, then need to pay more....
supper on 1st night
 Day 2
Went for snorkeling on day 2, and the night market at night. The rain the night before didn't have any effect on the weather on the second day. It was warm, really warm, which is a good day for suntanning on a boat. The boat was overcrowded with Caucasians, and we were like the minorities there. At night, we went to the night market and enjoy the food, as well as the cheap stuffs. And play some drinking game at night after showing off our "spoils of wars".
on a boat on a sunny day. My dressing is so weird.
therefore u won't see much photos for day 2, hahaha
XS commented my legs look like a lady's leg here, issit???
ready for snorkeling
LADY GAGA????
The sun is great! I got tanner a bit, right? I mean when u see me now.
The guys on board. woah! my hair.

some scenery shots.
i look really fair here.
I reflect so much light that I might burn a hole in your iris if you view me through a telescope:(
On 1st view, it might be slippers of a few people. But no, these were the slippers they bought.
Alcohol is cheaper here, compared to Singapore.
Wait...alcohol at anywhere is cheaper than Singapore
Drinking Game
Day 3
On day 3, we went to nearby market to shop for more! hahaha, it's not really a shopping paradise here, but make do. I bought a keychain here for people back in Singapore, but I misplaced it :( sad to the max. Had another round of massage. At night we went to a nightclub. We also had supper at some roadside stall. The chicken mee was best for an empty stomach. Went back to hotel for Monopoly Deal. I felt real sleepy after drinking a lot of red wine, which was given to us by Huiling's sis taken from her hotel, who happened to come to Phuket one day after us. Visited their hotel and realised the difference in standard between 3-star and 4-star. Ours is still good, for the pricing. No photos were taken on Day 3

Day 4
Day 4 was nothing much...Pack bag, and prepare to go home. Surprisingly all of us could get up in time. Bought Baileys on Xs's recommendation, that is happily sitting happily in my home, dunno where. On the other hand, I have finished the Hoegarden over CNY, with my relatives of course.
shag after a night of Monopoly Deal

And that ends our 4D3N trip

That's all folks, Cheers, Happy CNY.
