Graduation Trip No.2 Part 1 - In Seoul

I need a getaway...
An escapism..
Anywhere.

And here it comes, together with that grad trip people to Korea. I love this group of people. They really bring out the "free and easy" in the free and easy trip. Poker and drinks at night, and unable to wake up some days of the trip.
and we're leavin', never looking back again~~~
SQ planes departed from Singapore at 1st August. 1st time being on SQ airplane, experienced real bad turbulence. Vomited. What a way to begin a trip. Well lucky that was already the worst part of the trip. (What could get worse, right?)

The first step into Korea in the airport, we got our transport tickets, Korean Ez-link Card from the 7-11. It definitely feels strange being in a place where, neither English and Chinese is the main form of communication. We had our first hand experience in using the transport card to reach our place of accommodation - Banana Backpacker!

The room itself is a bit crowded for 4 guys, but well, 4 guys can make a messy bunch.

Looking through Xueshuang's album, I realised we did more food shots more than anything else -_-, a wrong choice to look at the album on a hungry night in the middle of the night where your fats from your trip have not been shredded of yet. (T.T)

Like most Asian cuisine, most food are spicy. That means most of my meal, I will be bloated... with water used to drown down the spiciness.

Food pics!
I believe this is called Soju. To me, it taste like a better Vodka
Some very spicy soup with seafood. The Sotong is damn fat, unlike Singapore's kind

Monkfish with spice(again) and lotsa beansprout

Bibimbap

Korean "kueh" that we didn't enjoy very much

Ever heard of Paris Baguette? Their Cream Puff are so nice albeit sinful

This is their equivalent for macs, Lotteria

It was crazy we had Baskin Robbins every night 'cos it was cheap

A very nice restaurant we ate at the bus terminal

How could we forgot, spicy nian gao

korean BBQ. To prevent the smell to stick on clothes, there was this smoke sucking thing.

Ginseng Chicken. It was boiled for so long that the bone turned soft

ultra large pizza at Pizza Haven near our hostel. About the only place with no spicy food! Hahaha
To me Seoul is a lot of shopping. The clothes are kinda trendy, in my opinion. The facial products there are cheap. Otherwise, the prices are more or less the same as Hong Kong. Places we went for shopping included, Myeongdong(felt like orchard road), Hongdae(supposed to have pretty uni ladies there, but we went during Korean school holidays :/), DongDaeMum(The shopping never sleeps), Express Ferry Terminal(the things were cheap, but the shopping place is kinda hard to find)
This was taken at Express Bus Terminal.
My fav mall  in the night market Dongdaemun
Shall update about the trip to Jeju, when I feel like it.

Let Her Go

Somehow, this song kinda matches me. Some people don't know what's been lost till they are gone and were unable to appreciate the things around till they feel the absence.
Well you only need the light when it's burning low

Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missing home
Only know you love her when you let her go
And you let her go
